RUSCHA 'FILIGRAN' 339/1 30cm Designed by Adele Bolz West German Fat Lava **SOLD**
- Vintage item from the 1960s
- Ships worldwide from United Kingdom
A beautifully designed 'Filigran' vase by Adele Bolz, for Ruscha pottery, circa 1959/60. It is hard to believe that this is around 65 years old, as the mermaid figure, deers, fishes and geometric shapes are as current today as they where back at the time this was made. Adele Bolz came from being a ballet dancer after WWII to work for Ruscha in 1959. The production of her intricate glaze only lasted 2 years before her time was cut short and after leaving her illness became to deteriorate before her death in 1964, she was 50 years of age. What Adele Bolz left was some of the most desirable decors in West German pottery, which can stand side by side in the classic designs of the mid-century. Standing an impressive 31cm the Ruscha 339 is rare, but, this 'Filigran' is a must for any serious collector, as it's sure to be a museum piece one day soon.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS SALE IS FOR THE 31CM TALL 'FILIGRAN' ONLY. ANY OTHER VASES PICTURED ARE FOR ILLUSTRATION PURPOSES ONLY, ALTHOUGH OTHERS ARE AVAILABLE FOR SALE SEPARATELY. PLEASE CONTACT US FOR DETAILS.
