Exquisite French Haberdashery Set Of Drawers: Beautiful patina and Paintwork, *SOLD**
Unique Haberdashery Set of Drawers
A rather special haberdashery counter that lived in France for around 150 years. Quite remarkable really that I found it complete with it’s ye old white paint and original cast iron handles. I have made the Gallery top, replaced a drawer and added the plinth. Thus, restored honestly. And now it will last another 150 years, as the back boarding and plinth give it strength. All but 2 of the drawers have original dividers in them, which would have housed cotton, thread, silk etc and the top right money drawer is a dream! This old lady was only part of the counter, on the left you can see that it would have had further drawers... amazing. The 4 vertical spacers would have housed patterns and I have also had to replace 2 of these. I hope you think it was a job worth restoring, as I thought I would never see the likes again, I thought it was worth all the time and patience.

Measurements: 100cm in length, 92cm at height of the back of the gallery top and 44cm depth.
