This is wonderful fully restored French/Belgian pine typesetters draws dates from around the 1900's (on the underside of the first draw at here is a stuck on piece of paper, which you can make out a date: 19.1.17, thus 1917). It is such a unique find that it would suit an artist or traditional typesetter/Graphic designer (individual or company), or, simply a collector of artwork/posters, jewellery maker, watch repair or collector of small objects etc. Measurements from the back is 130cm in height and 115cm at the front: the top slopes (as it was used to work on and house each individual draw, which housed type. The unit is 74cm wide and 50cm depth. Each draw is 66cm in length x 41cm in depth and has a height of 5.5cm. Each draw would of housed metal type fonts, which the labels have remained in tact (the names of the fonts and the font sizes are all original and I was reluctant to remove). All the draws (apart from one) have compartments in them, which I will remove (on request), so art work can be stored (see photo 7 as this draw has had it's compartments removed), as it would be nice if at least one of the draws was kept in it's original state (I suggest the draw that has the date on underneath). It's a heavy, superbly constructed/made piece, with all 15 draws running perfectly smoothly. Beautiful round brass handles, which have aged and can be further cleaned, if necessary. Made completely from pine, it has a wonderful patina throughout.
