This is a fabulous mid century, very 'today' looking piece: very tactile, great colours, wonderfully abstract and just looks great anywhere you put it. For me, better than any painting.
Old Helmut, is no longer with us, but, back in his pomp he was one of Germany's premier ceramists. Quite prolific, some of his work is better left in the dark places in Germany...his owls and sailing boats aren't his best, shall we say. I like this though, very much. Zero damage.
